If you would like to become a member of ELS, please check the detailed instructions in the USER GUIDE and then click on the REGISTER button. Once you have completed your personal profile in the gMem membership system, you can choose your membership type and continue to the payment page.

All current members with their membership paid any time since 2022 have their personal account already set in gMem. You can find detailed instructions on how to activate your gMem profile, pay the membership fee and thus renew your membership in the gMem USER MANUAL.

Terms

The membership year commences in January and ends in December each year. Memberships come into effect upon receipt of the membership fee payment by the ELS.

Renewal notices

Members are encouraged to pay their membership at the beginning of each calendar year. Renewal notices (email reminders) will be sent to every member whose membership expired at the end of the previous year (31st December) if they have not paid their membership by the end of March. More reminders are sent throughout the year to those members with outstanding membership fees for the current year. Junior Membership Requirements

Please note that in order to become ELS Junior member you need to provide us annually with a completed and signed up-to-date ELS Certificate – Junior membership, ideally at the beginning of the given calendar year. You need to upload your up-to-date certificate in your profile in the gMem membership system. Only after the Secretariat´s approval (please allow up to 3 working days), you will be able to view the Junior membership option in your profile. Junior Membership may be held for a maximum of five years.

 

Young ELS Membership Requirements

Residents under the age of 40 at the time of application are eligible for the Young ELS membership. This membership will automatically terminate at the end of the calendar year in which the member turns 40. To maintain your Young ELS membership, you must annually submit a completed and signed Young ELS Membership Certificate, preferably at the start of each calendar year. An up-to-date certificate must be uploaded to your profile within the gMem membership system. Only after the Secretariat´s approval (please allow up to 3 working days), you will be able to view the Junior membership option in your profile. The Young ELS Membership is valid for a maximum of two years. Once the complimentary period concludes, your membership can be transitioned to either a Junior Membership (if you remain eligible) or an Ordinary Membership, depending on your professional status at that time.

Young ELS Community

Young ELS Community is open to all ELS members under the age of 40, regardless of their membership type. Whether Young ELS, Junior, Associate, or Ordinary members, anyone under 40 is welcome to join the Young ELS community by selecting the “Young ELS Community” option on their personal profile in the society membership system gMem.
