UEMS European Laryngology Fellowship Program

Laryngology is an expanding field and is incorporated in most ENT residency programs in the US and Europe (US laryngology survey , Logbook ORL-HNS1 , Logbook ORL-HNS 2). However, to fully train the new generation of laryngologists across Europe it is crucialthat various training centers with sufficient resources can welcome and further train newly graduated residents in fellowship programs.

The UEMS approved European Laryngology fellowship program which was designed by the ELS serves to provide young European ENT specialists with the opportunity to work and learn for a period of two years in one of the hosting centres. The aim of the fellowship is to offer specific laryngological training as well as foster research in the field of laryngology. On successful completion of the fellowship curriculum the fellow will obtain the title Graduate of European training in Laryngology. Please see the link below for the full description of the fellowship curriculum and the fellowship log book

European Training Centers that are willing to welcome a UEMS Laryngology fellow for a duration of two years are invited to fill in the application form and submit it to the ELS board of directors at europeanlaryngologicalsociety@gmail.com. An auditing visit may be organized according to board’s decision. Your application as official UEMS/ELS fellowship training center will be validated subject to theauditing visit. There is currently one center validated by ELS board that accommodates fellows in laryngology; the “Ospedale Policlinico San Martino-University of GENOA, Italy”. If you have any questions please contact us for more information on the email address mentioned above.
