Young ELS Mentoring Programme
The Young ELS Mentoring Programme is an initiative of the YoungELS designed to foster structured, high-quality mentoring relationships between established laryngologists and YoungELS members.
The programme aims to support professional, academic, and personal development, offering a confidential and collegial space to discuss clinical practice, complex cases, research, academic careers, leadership development, and long-term professional goals.
Participation is based on a flexible, mentee-led mentoring model, focused on guidance and experience sharing rather than formal supervision or evaluation.
The first recruitment round closed in January 2026. New recruitment rounds will be opened every six months.
Recognition of mentors
Mentors participating in the programme are formally recognised for their contribution. With their consent, mentors are acknowledged on the ELS website and receive a certificate of participation, as well as invitations to selected YoungELS networking events.
“Here we would add a list of the mentors in the programme that gave their consent for being on the website, with their hospital of work.”
